Kellogg's Mini Wheats are a Family Favourite #TryitHot

In our home, we just can't get enough of Kellogg's Mini-Wheats.   My favourite is the original frosted in the blue box, and my son's favourite is brown sugar.   Each Mini-Wheat is packed with eight layers of whole grain and is a great source of fiber, too.

For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed my Mini-Wheats softened by hot/boiling water, drained and then with a little milk.  It's sometimes a race to make sure that I get as much yummy frosted top as possible, and that it doesn't dissolve because of soaking them in the hot water first.  Over time, I like to think that I've got this method figured out - knowing how much water and milk I need to add, to enjoy my delicious bowl of Mini-Wheats in my favourite way.


While, Mini-Wheats are an awesome way to start the day, they are also a great mid-day pick me up or an after school snack and are equally delicious hot or cold.  Yet, we are wondering, have you ever tried the warmed up?

Mini-Wheats has some recipe inspiration just for you, that may spark a new way to enjoy mini-wheats cereal.  Here's a sample of what you'll find:

Maple Almond Twist

Ingredients:  1/2 cup warm almond milk
4 tbsp of slivered almonds
1 1/2 cup of Maple Flavour Mini-Wheats cereal

Directions: Warm up 1/2 cup of almond milk
Pour 1 1/2 cup of Maple Flavour Mini-Wheats cereal into a bowl and add the warm almond milk
Sprinkle 4 tbsp of slivered almond on your cereal
