Welcome 2015 - Let's Kick off the New Year with a Giveaway! #ONatural

I tend to have a love/hate kind of thing going on when the calendar switches from December 31st to January 1st.  I don't know why - but, I always feel a little nostalgic about bidding a fond farewell to a year well lived and loved.   While I start the new year with a little trepidation, I want the transition to be a positive one for myself and my family.   I like to take a small break & a big breath, and take stock of my goals for myself and our family for the upcoming year.

I am proud of the changes we made throughout 2014.    We worked hard to improve our eating habits and found great homeopathic health alternatives with Orange Naturals.    Now, as we move into 2015, we'll keep the line and continue to strive for our goal of living a healthier lifestyle.

I think the best way to keep us on track is accountability.  So, on New Year's Eve, as we sat around our kitchen table I asked each family member their New Year's resolutions.  I think it caught the children off guard, so I told the kids that they could answer the question in a day or two.   The younger kids goals turned out to be things like fighting less with one another and spending less time playing video games.   Which, I consider to be great goals for eleven and eight year olds!

For myself, my accountability is to my family.  I've vowed to feed my family less processed food and have on hand healthier snacking choices.  It's not earth shattering really, and I'm pretty sure I've tried previously.  This time, I am equipping myself with the tools to succeed.  I am going to be better at reading and understanding product labels.  Too often, I've been known to just throw items into my grocery cart without really looking at what I was purchasing to fuel our bodies.    I am going to get better at menu & meal planning and stick with it.  I am finding inspiration from my new cookbook: 100 Days of Real Food by Lisa Leake.

My goal for 2015 is to make one small change each month, for January it was to cut back on my coffee and drink more water. I am doing great so far, hoping baby steps might be better than trying to do it all at once. (Judy Cowan)

I've been using my FitBit Flex to lose weight - my New Year's goal is to move more and eat better! Noticing my sleep is horrible (it tracks sleep) so thinking of using Orange Naturals to help. I love their ND shakes for the whole family :-)
