Toronto: Join the Gingerbread Build this Weekend for Habitat for Humanity #PGMom

This coming weekend is the 12th annual Gingerbread Build for Habitat for Humanity in Toronto, Ontario.  Join the festivities!

The Gingerbread Build

This Saturday (Dec. 6) and Sunday (Dec 7) join the 'build' sponsored by Bounty for fun festivities, prizes, music and  visit from Santa.  Choose your build shift: 12pm, 1:30pm, or 3:00pm, located at the Ontario
Science Center at 770 Don Mills Rd, in Toronto.  The event is held in the Challenge Zone (Weston Family Innovation Center).

A gourmet Gingerbread House kit costs $50.00, and includes everything you will need to create your masterpiece house.   Participants will receive a $25.00  charitable tax receipt for the purchase of their kit.

Habitat for Humanity helps people all across the GTA break the cycle of poverty by partnering with them to build affordable, decent housing without a down payment and an interest-free mortgage.  One hundred per cent of the funds raised at the Gingerbread Build goes directly to building Habitat homes for families in need of affordable housing within the GTA.

Maybe, you can't join the Gingerbread Build this weekend - that's okay.  You can still help!

Take Away Kits: Host Your Own Gingerbread Build

Purchase a Gingerbread kit to decorate at home, church, school or office.    Kits are available to be purchased right until December 19th.  The kits can be picked up at any of the three Habitat for Humanity offices.  If this is something at interests you, contact the following:  Sally.Ding@habitatgta.ca.

Purchase a Kit To Be Delivered To Family Living In a Shelter

Send a Gingerbread House kit to a family living in a shelter for them to decorate and feel some holiday cheer.  Habitat for Humanity will deliver the kit, along with a special message to the family.

This fun event is sponsored by Bounty, and as a PGMom, I am thrilled to share the details of the event with my readers.  As we all know, the holidays can be messy (especially with children).  Be sure to have lots of Bounty on hand this holiday to clean up those unexpected messes.

 Happy Gingerbread House building!
