Take a Trip to Toronto Eaton Chelsea this Holiday and Winter Season #ChelseaKnows

Holiday and winter getaways within our own province are the best!  Ontario, in particular our provincial capital, has a lot to offer families for a mini staycation this holiday or winter season.

Last weekend, we made the trip to Toronto.  My children haven't had a lot of opportunity to visit the big city and were pretty awestruck by the sights, sounds and smells.  The Toronto Eaton Chelsea is an excellent choice for family accommodations while in the city, as we learned pretty quickly.
The Eaton Chelsea is centrally located in the heart of downtown Toronto.  We found that we could quickly get around the downtown area by either catching a cab at the entrance of the hotel or on foot.  We were able to easily travel by foot to the Eaton Center and to Nathan Phillips Square.  Walking the city sidewalks gave the children a neat perspective of a bustling city, one that they don't normally experience living in a small town with three stop lights.

The Eaton Chelsea is Canada's largest hotel, with a lot of the rooms recently (or soon to be) renovated and updated.  Our rooms were cozy, clean and comfortable.  Housekeeping obviously gives attention to detail and keeps the hotel clean and neat throughout.   Our family really appreciated that we were a valued guest and were acknowledged by staff either in the hallways or in the main lobby area.
Find great food and restaurants to eat at the Eaton Chelsea.  There are four eating facilities located right inside the hotel.  We ate at B33 Bistro for breakfast/brunch and enjoyed a lunch at the Market Garden.  B33 Bistro is buffet style, where we found a delicious array of hot and cold foods.  My daughter (who loves fruit) was especially excited with all the fresh fruits available on the buffet.  For the rest of us we loved the eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes or french toast.  The Market Garden had so much choice - we were all able to get something tailor made just for our appetite.  My husband ordered a stir fry, my son ordered a grilled cheese, my daughter ordered cheese pasta, and I went for some pizza and some hot foods ready on their buffet.
The Eaton Chelsea has family fun galore.  My (daughter) children were obsessed with getting to the pool and water slide area.  On their first visit both of my kids were swim tested by a lifeguard and then wore a colour-coded bracelet for the rest of the weekend, letting the staff know their abilities.  My husband took the opportunity to check out and use the fitness facilities both mornings of our visit.  He loved the amazing views of the city and CN tower from the exercise room.
We were treated like royalty at Eaton Chelsea.  Everyone we came in contact was super pleasant and helpful, making our visit all the better.

Eaton Chelsea is the whole package.  We think a weekend away at the Eaton Chelsea was a perfect way to spend time together during this time of the year.    It's the attention to detail that makes the hotel such a great destination.  I never once though of our brand new vehicle not being secure within the parking garage, and I never once was worried that my children were feeling bored or unwelcome at the Eaton Chelsea.  The Eaton Chelsea even has partnered with various entertainment and shopping facilities that offer discounts to people who are staying at the hotel.  (One of the attractions is Ripley's Aquarium, which we went to).  If you are looking for a great getaway right here at home this winter, be sure to check out the Eaton Chelsea.   They offer package deals, including the Family Getaway

Thank you to the Eaton Chelsea for hosting our family for the weekend, we can not wait to plan a return visit to your city and beautiful hotel sometime soon.
