If you are a Thomas the Tank fan or even a fan of trains this is the event for you and your family. My kids are getting a little bit older now, and we've attended the event several times over the years, that this time around we thought we would introduce another family (my sister and her family) to the excitement of Day Out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour 2014.
The St. Thomas - Elgin Memorial Center hosts the event annually and they do a great job. The grounds and area are spacious, with lots of room for kids young and old to explore and get the most out of the event. St. Thomas is the only host city of Day Out with Thomas in Ontario, and proceeds from the event benefit the Elgin County Railway Museum.
New this year:
For the first time ever in the history of Day Out with Thomas, children are able to speak with their favourite engine - Thomas!
Some of the fun activities that are not to be missed are storytelling, hands on crafts and lego. There is also facepainting and fun tattoos that kids won't want to go home without checking out. A big hit always is the Island of Sodor hay maze and balloon animal art.

My sister and her family had a great time together at Day Out with Thomas. There is so much to see and do and the kids were so excited to be there. St. Thomas, Ontario does a fabulous job hosting the event and ensures that all guests are happy and comfortable. My sister wanted to note that she is a nursing mom of a newborn and was pleased to find comfortable nursing stations and changing areas.
Day out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour motors onward and may be making its way to a center near you. Next stop in Canada is Winnipeg and then heads back down into the United States. Find where Thomas is headed to next and how to get tickets for your family by visiting: TicketWeb.
Disclaimer: I was offered tickets for my sister and her family to attend the event, no other compensation was received. All opinions are those of the blog owner and author.
