Discover MAJESTA ez Flush + Sweepstakes Alert and Reader Giveaway

Are you clogging your pipes without even knowing it?  You could be if you aren't using MAJESTA ez Flush toilet paper.  In my home we've had our fair share of toilet mishaps, usually from over-exuberant use of toilet paper and it tends to happens when Daddy isn't home.  Leaving Mommy to deal with the problem, who honestly doesn't deal that well.

Meet Tammy Buchanan
As a plumber, founder of Small Jobs Plumbing - the first female owned and operated plumbing company in Nova Scotia - and mother to an eight-year-old boy, nobody knows clogs better than Tammy Buchanan! And while you might not always think of it, one of her top tips for avoiding plumbing problems is starting with a toilet paper that breaks down quickly in water. This is especially true if you have low-flow toilets or a septic system, own a cottage or RV or simply have a kid who can’t help but put a little too much in the bowl!
Tammy wants to share her tips and advice on how to fix some of the most common toilet troubles with Canadians through the e•z Toilet Fixes videos on Majesta.com.

MAJESTA ez Toilet Paper Breaks Down Quickly and Easily

I took the opportunity to see for myself if MAJESTA ez toilet paper did actually break down easier than other leading brands.  I did  this by performing the shake test.   Check out my results in the photos below.
To begin, I received two identical empty bottles and two rolls of toilet paper.  One is MAJESTA and the other is an unknown (to me)  leading brand.
I put equal amounts of tap water into the bottles.
I tore off a strip of 4 sheets each of both brands and let them fall into the bottles at the same time.
I shook each bottle for exactly 30 seconds and then poured the contents into cups.  I was pretty surprised - the MAJESTA bottle emptied completely and quickly.  The Leading Brand was difficult to empty...it was clogged and only a small amount of water was able to get past the clog.

MAJESTA e•z flush is the choice of Canada’s leading performance manufacturer of low flow and dual flush systems, American Standard. The perfect balance of softness and flushability, ideal for low flow and dual flush system, families with kids, homes on septic systems, cottage’s and RV’s.

The results are surprising - I didn't realize that there could be such a difference in the way that various toilet tissues break down.  Now, that I know I'll be looking for and reaching for MAJESTA when shopping for our family's needs.

Recently I went to get a jar of bath salts from my over the toilet shelf) and it accidentally dropped, broke all over and in the toilets. Little salt beads everywhere and when i tried to flush, it overflowed. I am still finding little beads tracked into the hallway.

I used to live in a condo building that didn't allow pets. I, however, was keeping my cat there on the sly. I was dumb enough to flush the cat litter every so often down the toilet and one day ended up blocking it. I didn't know what to do as I was afraid my cat would be found out. I ended up hiding the cat in the closet and calling maintenance who fixed it without saying anything. I did slip him 20 dollars though for his discretion. Needless to say, I never flushed the litter ever again after that!

Not acutally mine but my mom. Her and my dad went camping. She thought my dad put toilet paper out in the "camping outhouse" - wrong. My mom used her sock...kind of gross but now one of my cousins always asks her if she saw that raccoon with the Puma sock on lol

Sometimes the little kids use to much toilet paper and I have to use the plunger.

My sons have used too much paper and overflowed the toilet several times. It was such a mess to clean up but what can you do!

My toilet paper mishap was my son decided to put some toilet paper in the toilet and flush it. He thought it was funny to see how the flush would unravel the entire roll of paper....but it was our last roll.

I once had a toilet burst in an apartment and had two inches of water in seconds. Took me quite a bit of time to remember there was a shut off valve. Luckily, the managers of the apartment cleaned everything

My mishaps would include going into a public bathroom and finding extremely rough toilet paper or finding out the toilet won't flush after going!

When I was university student, I moved into an apartment where the toilet kept overflowing. It was only after two months of calling the superintendent, that the maintenance guys figured out that the previous owner dumped kitty litter down the toilet and clogged the pipes. Victoria Ess

My oldest two children once flushed a bunch of their bath toys and hot wheels down the toilet. That required an emergency visit from the plumber because at the time we only had the one toilet.

I had a glass candle drop into the toilet. It fit perfectly(!!) into the drain part, and wouldn't budge. I had to take a steak knife and chip away at the edge of the candle until I could get the glass to crack. 3 hours later I won! Thank goodness it was a clean toilet!!! LOL

No serious plumbing issues. Our toilet doesn’t flush with much power, so we try not to use a lot of paper.

Oh boy, I had to use the bathroom at a store and, I was walkibg around for about 10 minutes to find my mom n before k new it my mom busted out laughing because I had a long strip of toilet paper coming from my pants

Over time our toilet gave birth to *bowl rust*....frustrating to try and scrape off. Tried many plumbing agents to no avail. So I tried a simple test that a friend recommended - 2 tbsp of toothpaste and add 2 tbsp of baking soda. Can be a tiring job - but it does work effectively. Looks like a new toilet- DIY Mom. I like that label.

When my oldest was younger she plugged the toilet with too much toilet paper and kept trying to flush it until it overflowed - I had to shut off the water to stop it from continuing, and then I had a big job of mopping up the water on the floor and disinfecting the bathroom. After that I went back to supervising her bathroom visits for a while. ;-)

Currently you have to hold the handle down until all the toilet aper has disappeared :/
