Are you Noseblind? Febreze to the Rescue! #PGMom #NoseBlind {giveaway}

Upon returning home from being at the cottage for two weeks, we were met with an interesting aroma when we walked back in the door.  It was a funky smell of a cat living on her own for two weeks, a closed up house and a musty basement.  The cat smell I could eliminate fairly quickly with a litter box change and sweep up, but it was going to take a bit to get the rest of the house aired out and smelling better.

I love it when our home has a nice clean scent.  Sometimes, though when I am in the midst of it all, I don't realize if there is an overpowering scent within these four walls.   In fact, most Canadians don't recognize if there is a funk amongst us.

Introducing: Febreze Noseblind

Febreze surveyed Canadians and here’s the smelly truth:
  • 93% of Canadians would like to know if their homes smelled bad.  Wouldn’t you?!
  • But we’re just too nice: only 63% of us would tell someone if their home smells
  • 48% of Canadians believe that a smelly home is the sign of a dirty, lazy homeowner. Ouch!!
  • So, what are the worst home smells?  Garbage, pet odours and smoking smells
  • Back on the dating scene or have a teen who’s trying to impress? For 61% of Canadians, the smell of their date’s home is a deal breaker, and 28% would make a quick exit if their date’s home smelled.
  • Excuses, excuses: 36% of Canadians have either avoided visiting friends with smelly abodes or make it a quick stop.
  • Doorbell or warning bell? 37% of Canadians panic when unexpected guests drop by. Is your home always ready for guests?
  • 45% of us dread visiting homes with pets because of the smell. Don’t let Fido take the blame, take action!
  • Pull over, driver! 58% of people have wanted to get out of someone’s car because of its smell
It's no secret that I am an avid user of Febreze, it has saved me on more than one occasion.  As soon as I realized that I couldn't eliminate our gone on holiday odor  I started Febrezing our home.  I set up an Febreze air freshener right inside the back door and it made a different instantly.

I am nose blind to the smell of bacon. When I make bacon, I don't smell anything, but whenever someone walks into our home, they can smell the bacon.

My dog once rode in the car while wet from the rain and my car smelled like wet dog. It was still raining when we got home so I told myself i'd clean the car the next day but then forgot. About a week later my nephew got in my car and said it stunk - iw as so embarassed! I was surprised that i didn't get reminded to clean teh car by the smell but i really couldn't smell it anymore.

One time I stepped in some gasoline after filling up my car. I didn't realize it until later when I was in a store and smelt gasoline and realized it was coming from the bottom of my shoe!

I would have to say that I am not nose blind but rather very sensitive to smells. I seem to smell something long before anyone else in the family. (Judy Cowan)
