Welcome to The Westin Trillium House! #SummerAtBlue #NaturalHigh

As we came down the mountain side and were approaching Collingwood, we began to notice the area had a unique European-villa-type feel.  (Not that I've ever been to an European villa, but this is how I would imagine it.)

It was quaint, lovely, and  welcoming at Blue Mountain.

The Westin Trillium House

Finding our accommodations at The Westin Trillium House proved to be easy.  Our GPS had us stop at the Blue Mountain Inn, which meant we just weren't quite there yet.  The staff at the Inn were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction, only a little further down the road.   If you want to be right in the center of all Blue Mountain Village has to offer, then you want to make The Westin Trillium House your home away from home.

Right from the moment we pulled up to the doors of The Westin Trillium House, we felt welcome.    We went in to check-in and find out where our room was located.  The kids were immediately excited and impressed and I knew they couldn't wait to start exploring the facilities.  The Westin Trillium House is a sprawling, spacious hotel with deluxe rooms available to comfortably house up to ten people.  As we were a traveling party of three we found ourselves in the lap of luxury in a Two Bedroom Suite.

Our room was huge, with more than enough room for the three of us to roam.

Having a kitchen in our room was the most exciting feature to this mom.   Yet, only slightly.  The bedrooms housed large comfortable beds with soft bedding, the washrooms were as equally as gorgeous.  There was more than enough room for a family style meal around the table and even a armchair to curl up in the sitting room (which also had a pull out couch and a fireplace).

I've never been in a hotel room with more natural light in my entire life.  There were windows galore and the sun shone in.

The children loved the robes and as soon as we got back to the room they both immediately put them on.  They loved the robes so much, they insisted I looked up on the website the retail cost of the robes and even suggested them as gifts for their next birthdays.

The employees of The Westin Trillium House went out of their way to make our visit special.  When we walked down the corridors or were in the lobby, I noted that we never once passed an employee who didn't acknowledge us and wish us a great day - from housekeeping, to the valet they all greeted us with a smile each and every time.

Even Cat  enjoyed the star treatment at The Westin Trillium House!

Talk about the little extras which mean a lot.  Matthew and Emily were both thrilled to see that housekeeping had tucked Cat  into bed when they had made up the room.  Cat  is well traveled and has been everywhere with us for the last nine years, yet, this was the first time he's experienced such luxury.

Take a Plunge!

Before checking out of our home away from home, we had the opportunity to take a plunge.   Plunge! Aquatic Center is adjacent to the hotel  and offers indoor and outdoor pools, slides, and a rope swing for the kids to play, and muskoka chairs for mom to relax and watch.

Our stay at The Westin Trillium House was nothing short of amazing.  The kids think it would be the perfect Christmas vacation destination, and they've been busy convincing Dad!

Thank you to The Westin Trillium House for making our stay so very special.

We have stayed in different lodges at Blue and none of them can compare to the Westin. Such beautiful accommodations and I agree, the staff was amazing!

That looks like such a great spot for a family - our local pool has one of those waterfall type things and my kids love them!
