Our country is so vast and there is so much to see from shore to shore to shore, that it is almost impossible to decide where to begin. In our own province of Ontario there is so much I want the kids to see and explore. We have never been to our nation's capital, and I think that is somewhere which every Canadian should experience. Then, while we are in Eastern Ontario it would be super easy to venture into Quebec.
You'll remember that my oldest daughter was lucky enough to be involved with a SEVEC exchange this past winter to the province of Quebec. Then, this spring the Quebec students had their return trip to our region. Many of those kids loved our part of Ontario so much that they are returning with their families this summer. I think that is a fantastic idea! We could take a road trip to Quebec and have our older daughter be our tour guide, showing us many of the places which she had the opportunity to visit earlier.

My husband is a foodie and would love to check out some culinary delights offered at the many Montreal restaurants and eateries. There are also several food festivals to visit throughout the summer months, which I know he would love to check out. For myself, though, I am more interested in the history of Montreal and would love to take a walking tour, and spend the day exploring, to later relax at a Montreal guesthouse or quaint hotel.
Visiting the province of Quebec and in particular, Montreal with my family, (while my children are still young) is on my bucket list and one I am hoping to scratch off this coming summer!
Do you have any summer road trips planned this year, with your family?
