Wake up to Almond Fresh, Noel Nog French Toast on Christmas Day

Every year we host Christmas Day brunch in our home.  Our home is small and the kids are hyper, yet on Christmas morning none of that matters.  It is a wonderful to open our door and welcome family members into our home to celebrate the joys of Christmas.

Every year we try to come up with something a little different and a little special to serve during our brunch.  This year we will be making Almond Fresh Noel Nog French Toast!

Having egg nog during the holiday season is one of those traditions I just can't break.  Even though, I know it isn't the healthiest options.  Now, Almond Fresh Noel Nog I can still indulge in my holiday tradition, yet feel better about doing so

Almond Fresh Noel Nog is lower in calories and a delicious alternative.  I am in little bit of panic right now, as my mind and heart is set on making  french toast with Noel Nog on Christmas morning, and today when I went to the store to pick some up they were sold out.    I've spoken to the manager and they are hoping to get more in by the end of the week.  Cross your fingers for me.  {Check for availability in your local area}

* 4 eggs
* 1 cup (250 mL) Almond Fresh Noël Nog
* 2 tsp (10 mL) cinnamon
* 8 slices bread or brioche
* Slivered almonds and maple syrup

Method:
1. In a shallow dish, beat together the eggs, Almond Fresh Noël Nog and cinnamon.

2. Heat a large frying pan over low/medium heat.

3. Soak bread in the Almond Fresh Noël Nog/egg mixture, one slice at a time.

4. Lightly coat the pan with vegetable oil or butter. Cook each slice of French toast on both sides until nicely browned.

5. Serve with slivered almonds and maple syrup- enjoy!

About Almond Fresh:  As the FIRST refrigerated all-natural almond beverage in Canada, Almond Fresh is a great alternative to milk that has the powerful benefits of almonds plus a light and delicious taste. It is made with real almonds and is a source of vitamin E.  Almond Fresh is also a great substitute for milk in all of your favourite recipes.

For about the last six weeks, or so we have come to love Almond Fresh Original and it's flavourful nutty taste.    The kids will drink it by the glassful and I love to add it to my coffee.

Almond Fresh is a great alternative to dairy or gluten for people who can't tolerate them.  I don't have any food sensitivities, yet it is nice to find a healthier option, without having to sacrifice taste.  The taste of Almond Fresh is unique and I like it.

Oh Almond Fresh, how do I love thee....let me count the ways!

Look for Almond Fresh at your favourite retailers (and if you don't see it ask them to bring it in).  It is available in original, unsweetened, vanilla, chocolate and now coconut.

Connect with Almond Fresh on facebook and join in the conversation.

Don't forget to put out a glass of Almond Fresh for Santa this Christmas Eve!

I live on Almond milk, not Almond Fresh though because of the high calorie content. However, I'm off to the grocery store and I'm trying this Noel Nog!
