My dad used to put that old snowmobile in the back of his pick up truck, just in case he would get stuck going back and forth from work. If you could imagine, he would leave his ditched vehicle and get on his snowmobile. There was even days when it was snowing so hard that he wouldn't even attempt to drive, but instead just drove his snowmobile to his job. This was back in the days when we had real winters, when the snow would pile up as high as the roof on the house, and it would take days for the snow plows to get the roads cleared.
Those old snow machines or yesteryear looked nothing like the beauties which are available today. Though, seeing the sleek new snowmobiles at Suzuki Moto makes me long for those good old days, and the fun we used to have.
However, the question remains - will there be snow for the enthusiasts this year? After last years wash out of a winter, there are many people itching to get out on the trails. It has yet to be seen here in Southern Ontario, but hope springs eternal.
