As I rode along I noticed farmers still working in their fields. Their combines are put away now, but the ploughs are out in full force, turning the ground before it freezes. Overhead there are flocks of Canadian Geese flying in perfectly shaped formation, and I decide to pull over to breath the moment in.
This is such a busy time of year, even the smallest of things like watching a farmer work in the field for a few minutes is all I need to slow life down for a little bit. The air coming through my open window is refreshing, but not cold. For just a few minutes I can sit and think, and make a mental note of all which needs to be done in the next couple of weeks.
Then, out of no where a BMW speeds by and brings me abruptly back to reality.
Seeing the car makes me think of my son, who is always talking about his teacher's dynamic BMW X3. As I catch a glimpse of the tail lights of the car which just passed, it reminds me that I need to set up an appointment to speak with her.
Even though, my moment with the geese and the working farmer was over, I was able to clear my mind for a few minutes and enjoy the peace in my surroundings.
