Coming early in the spring, I will be an aunt for the ninth time. I love that the family is growing and who doesn't get excited by a new baby's arrival?
This will be the second child in my brother's family. Their daughter, Catherine will be nicely two years old when the new baby makes it's grand debut.
Their big question will be, should they move big sister Catherine to a toddler bed, or keep her in her crib for a bit longer, and purchase a second crib? A great alternative I am going to mention to them, is purchasing a bassinet or moses basket. That way Catherine can remain in her crib for a little longer and not feel that the new baby took over her bed.
It will be hard enough on big sister Catherine, and a move out of her bed may be a little overwhelming, with all the changes happening. Yet, one thing I do know, is children can adjust quickly, and she will be just fine.
This new baby will definitely be the light, at the end of winters tunnel!
