Momma's Gotta Shop

With Fall conferences right around the corner, many of us (bloggers) are pretty jazzed and looking forward to the opportunity to connect with brands who want to work with us, and meet up with fellow bloggers who we have forged an online relationship with.   I consider some girls which I have never met in real life to be friends, and these Canadian conferences are what many are looking forward to, for a chance to finally get a face to face meeting.

Some bloggers are stay at home moms, or work from home moms, and as such our wardrobes often reflect that.  Personally, I live in yoga pants and tee shirts.  Yet, when it comes to conferences these just don't cut it.  So, it's time to do a little shopping in preparation.  Shopping for women clothing is not ever a priority in my life and I often seem out of touch with current styles and trends.   Shopping for myself seems overwhelming and not something I am comfortable with, so making selections from my couch is my preferred mode of shopping.

Even though, I would want to step up my style a notch or two at a conference, I would still want comfort.  I also look for clothing which I can incorporate into my existing wardrobe, when I get back home.  I certainly don't want to spend money on clothing which is just going to hang in my closet.

Upon taking the advice of conference attendees, it is best to look for dressy-casual clothing.  A tunic like this one would be cute, and comfortable enough to wear all day. It could even be dressed up for an evening party with a shawl or scarf.

I am not sure at what point shopping became such an overwhelming event.  I am just thankful for the ability to shop from home, it really does take some of the stress out of the situation!

Now, if only I could make it to the conference.

Hmmmm, not sure how that would look on me but it would certainly make me the centre of attention! :D I'm getting my shop on too!

This Momma doesn't enjoy shopping either. I went to one of our large malls in Sandton with my daughter on Saturday, and was reminded how much she loves to browse and how much I don't! Shopping from home sounds like a good option, but it's not very popular in SA yet, and I am a bit nervous that when it arrives it doesn't look as good as it does in the picture!
