I just realised I haven't seen a laundry line in ages. How sad is that. So jealous of your cottage time!

Now that's how you dry clothes! :) We had a clothesline in our back yard for years but it broke. I'd like to think that if it hadn't, I would have used it! :)

The cottage looks very nice! I love the smell of laundry off the line.

There is nothing quite like the fresh smell of clothes off the line. And bedsheets!! The best.

I think it looks kind of pretty :)

We use a clothesline at the lake too. Love it. I always hung my cloth diapers out in the sun when my girls were babies.

Lots of work but I bet it was worth it for some beautiful cottage time:)

Seems rather nostalgic to see clothes on a line, how sad is that :)

Love it! I hang our clothes on the line and we don't have a cottage. LOL! My husband is a frugal farmer and his mom never had a dryer! We do have one and I use it on occasion. Whenever I can, I hang dry though. Just one of my things I do to tread lighter on the earth :)

The second WW post so far today that brings back great memories of living on the farm. Unless it was -40 everything went on the clothes line!

That is a lot of clothes! It is really neat how at times we can get back to the old ways and really enjoy doing something so simple!

Love that about the cottage. Things that might be a pain at home, are actually appealing when done at the cottage lol. So relaxing!

I still use a clothes line. I use my dryer for towels and undies, but otherwise rely on our bright, warm sunshine to do the job for me. In some parts of Africa, you can't use a line a there are flies that lay their eggs in the clean washing, so EVERYTHING (if you use a line) has to be ironed. We don't have that problem in South Africa fortunately!

I miss doing some of my laundry outside but most I'm pretty content to do inside. :)
