Recycled Cardboard Cooler ~ Keeps Picnics Fresh This Summer! {#giveaway}

Who doesn't enjoy a picnic on a warm summer's day? Or, how about a day at the beach, with a cooler full of your favourite drinks and snacks?  It's picnic time, Canada, get out there and enjoy the great outdoors!

Cascades has just been named as one of Canada's most socially responsible companies.  I am so proud to include Cascades at my blog.  Not only are they a great Canadian company, they are also an employer in my community.  And, Cascades has the answer to keeping a picnic cold and fresh on a hot summer day.

Cascades Boutique ~ Cardboard Cooler Boxes

For as long as I can remember my family has used non-recyclable coolers.  Those coolers did a pretty good job of keeping foods cold, but they aren't made to last or withstand wear and tear.  It saddens me to think back and realize what I've sent to the landfill in the past.

No more, thanks to Cascades Cardboard Cooler Boxes.

These boxes are made of 70% recycled materials, and are ideal for all that summer has to offer.    The Cascade cooler is just as efficient as other limited-use coolers, except this one is recyclable.  Not to mention convenient to store between use, as it folds down flat.

We like that this recycled cardboard cooler is waterproof, as the outside of the box has a special coating.  The inside is insulated to keep food and drinks cold.  We love the easy to carry handles on the sides, and we were really happy with the way the box lid stayed shut.   In between uses we will fold it flat for storage, and if something does happen to it, we will simply put the cooler inside our blue bin for recycling.

Easy and Efficient.  It's a cooler, only better.

If you aren't familiar with Cascades Boutique, I urge you to take a peek.  They have very cool items, I am certainly intrigued by their outdoor recycled plastic furniture.  Cascades Boutique also has household items, and if you purchase four or more things you'll receive free shipping.

Giveaway!

County Mouse, City Mouse readers (Canada) can enter to win their very own Cascades Recycled Cardboard Cooler!  {Value $19.99, yet, they are currently on sale for $14.99}

another item they offer that would be useful in our home is the Food Waste Bags. We try not to waste food when we can, but sometimes it does happen and then there's always fruit peels, egg shells, ect..food waste that just can't be eaten. Someday when we're not living in a little apartment i'd love to get a food composter, but for now Food waste bags would do the trick.
