Pound Puppies ~ Homeward Pound

I don't think I had a pound puppy when I was a kid, but my brother did.  It was a floppy eared gray pup, which he carried everywhere we went.  I associate pound puppies with my little brother and our childhood days.

Fast forward to this March, I am so happy to introduce another childhood favourite to my own kids through a DVD from Shout! Factory Kids ~ Pound Puppies: Homeward Pound.

We received this heart-warming tale last week, just as we are hitting the anniversary of our own dog, Roxy being with us for one year!  Talk about perfect timing.

The Pound Puppies are a team of fearless dogs whose sworn mission is to find  homes for lonely puppies.  Even though they look like regular dogs, these pro-active pooches match up pups with loving families fulfilling the mantra of a pup for every person and a person for every pup - all while they keep the humans at Shelter 17 clueless.

My family thought Pound Puppies: Homeward Pound was fresh and funny.  This isn't a series they were familiar with prior to watching the DVD, but they are fans now!  All of the dogs have their very own personalities and get themselves into a bit of shenanigans.   The DVD has five episodes - the kids favourite was Quintuplets hands down.

Pound Puppies: Homeward Pound is a great DVD for new and old fans (like my brother) alike.  Catch the Pound Puppies on The Hub in the US and on YTV in Canada.
