Ho Ho Ho....Hexbugs! {Holiday Gift Idea}

Are you in a mad rush trying to find that perfect gift?  If you are in need of a gift for a child over the age of three, look no further....

It's a Hexbug Christmas!

Back at the toy fair, earlier in the season, Matthew and Jillian found the Hexbugs.   Hexbugs have the ability to capture a child's attention and keep it for long periods of time.  I am not a big fan of bugs of any kind, but, kids love bugs.  Hexbugs took that natural love of the creepy crawly and couple it with robots and came up with a winner, which is Hexbugs.

My children are over-the-moon excited about receiving a box of hexbugs, and their habitats.  Kids can build the habitat,  and send their little soldier bug off to play with each other.  I asked Matthew what it was about hexbugs that he likes and he simply said that they are awesome!  But, I wanted to know exactly what it was that makes them awesome, so I pressed him a little more.  It turns out that hexbugs are awesome because they vibrate and seem really life like.  He likes that you can build the track yourself and then let your bugs go to run around on their own.  They may even get away from you and you'll have to chase after them.  Matthew especially thinks it is hilarious if a hexbug runs past our puppy.  Our dog is pretty curious, but she is also a little timid of hexbugs.

We find the playground to be really well made and stands up well to the wear and tear of young children.  The hexbugs themselves are tough little critters, and the batteries which are included are long-lasting.

These little guys are hours of fun.  Hexbugs are also a great collectable item.  The hexbug nano has loads of colour choices, which we really love.  Everyone can pick their favourite colours and then let them go to battle each other.  If your children like hexbugs, they are going to love Glow in the dark Hexbug nano starter set and habitat set.

 Check your local retailers for Hexbugs.

Also, connect online with Hexbugs on facebook and twitter.

Wishing you a Merry Hex-mas!
