The Chidren's Place ~ My Shopping Destination

I can still remember my excitement and anticipation over The Chidren's Place coming to Canada.  I stalked the mall waiting for the paper to come off the windows and the doors to open for shopping.  Years later, and three children later, TCP is still my destination for children's wear.  I am there so much that one of the awesome sales ladies at my local store knows me and my children and always makes a comment as to how much the kids have grown.  For me, having this connection makes my shopping experience even more unique.

Last week, I was invited with my friend @Kidsumers, to attend a shopping event at The Chidren's Place.  We were given a quick tour, shown all the holiday and winter trends, and then set loose to shop 'til we dropped!

Right now, the stores of full of lots of cold weather gear.  TCP has winter jackets and snow pants, boots, hats, mitts and scarves.

I just love these cute animal friend hats and matching mittens for girls.
So far, I've gotten the black puppy and the owl set.

There was lots of selection for the boys as well.

Every year, I get my kids a fleece set for the holidays.
TCP has great mix and match glacier fleece and regular fleece at great prices.
I bought a glacier fleece set for both Jillian and Matthew, while I was there.

I also always get holiday outfits for my kids.
TCP has beautiful dresses for the girls.

I bought Matthew a nice sweater with a half zip up the front, and I got a pair of pull on chinos to go with them.

All throughout the store there was lots of denim.  TCP has many shades and styles of denim in all sizes.

I also got both of the kids jammies and slippers which they always open on Christmas Eve.  It is our tradition and the kids look forward to getting their Christmas Eve gifts.  I found Jillian cute holiday themed pj's, and Matthew's is a mix and match thermal set.

While I shopped in the big kids section, don't forget that the clothing at TCP is from newborn right through to size 14.

The last few visits to The Children's Place, I've found a great section with jewelry and other little trinkets which make stocking stuffers.  And, the socks are always a good buy with their mix and match deal.

Don't forget that The Children's Place now ships within Canada, so online shopping is a good alternative.  I just bought Matthew's new winter coat online and it was at my door within three days.

If I was going to give advice to a fellow mom, it would be to sign up to receive TCP emails.  As you can see from my photos there were many reductions and sales in-store, and the emails will let you know when these are going on.  Plus, they often send additional coupons entitling you to an extra discount.  TCP now accepts Air Miles, so remember to take a long your collector card when you shop.

Shopping at The Children's Place is always a pleasure, and this trip was no different.

Follow TCP on facebook and twitter.

It was a fun day! You got some great pictures too. Did you give them their stuff yet? I was going to wait until Christmas, but I couldn't do it, lol.
