Witches and Goblins...oh my!

Welcome to the blog of a family who ADORES Halloween.

We love it all - decorations (inside and out), crafts, stories, themed television and movies,  homemade treats and of course lots of candy!

And, we have Halloween fun no matter the weather, wind, rain, or bitter cold.  As Canadians, we know that the weather on October 31st is always a gamble.  This year, our plans have been in the works since July, when we decided we would have a family 50's Halloween, all based on characters of the movie Grease.

Yet, I think my absolute favourite part of Halloween is the great sense of community in our neighbourhood.  I love seeing everyone out in the streets laughing and chatting as the kids go door to door.  Halloween takes me to an era when life was simpler and slower.

Each year, I make up special treat bags for my close neighbours.  I include age appropriate little toys and lots of chocolate all tied up with a pretty decorated ribbon.

I admit defeat to the sewing machine - homemade costumes just aren't my foray.  But, I know for many of you, it is!  Why not upload a photo of your little goblin or witch in their Halloween finery?  Disney Junior will be featuring Dress-Up Mondays on October 17, 24, 31st.    Upload your cutie starting on October 10 - 17.  Then stay tuned to Disney Junior and DisneyJunior.ca to see an adorable Gallery of scary and sweet alike.  {I can not wait to see your little ones!}

Join me in watching Halloween themed episodes of our favourite Disney Junior programming.

  • October 10 ~ Special Agent Oso (new episode)
  • October 17 ~ Jake and the Never Land Pirate & Stella and Sam (new episodes)
  • October 24 ~ Jungle Junction (new episode)
  • October 31 ~ Enjoy a fun filled day of Halloween themed shows

Happy Halloween 2011!

Disclosure:  I’m part of the Disney Junior Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group.  The opinions on this blog are my own.
