Aloha!

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:

Have you ever experienced a house fire?

Never, ever, thank goodness! Not even a little one. I hope you haven't! I know someone who has and the story is frightening! Thank God they got their children out safely. We have just had a Christian mission school for orhpans burn down to the ground. 8 little ones were killed, as well as the woman who owned the place. Very sad story!

Thankfully, no. When I was a kid our wood stove caught on fire and the firemen came, but I barely remember it and fortunately it was contained to the stove.

Luckily, no! And I hope I never do!

I have not but I saw one across the street and helped out and called 911 and kept their dogs in my garage to help out.

Have a great weekend.

yes. lost 90% of everything we owned. Due to a inconsiderate drug addict setting her bed on fire and put it in the hall because she thought the fire was out and burned up a 26 unit building causing everyone to be out of a home.
No one died many lost pets.
She was given a charity fund raiser and made out with over $20,000.
Me -Nothing!!

No I have not, thankfully. But I remember a fireman coming to visit our school in the 2nd grade to talk about fires, and it scared the crap out of me! Anyways, I hope that you or your loved ones are not going through something like this.

I have but I slept through it. I was 8 years old and we were living in a house we were renting and the people staying underneath us had candles burning on the table. They caught the drapes and they started a fire. The firemen came and put out the firs and my parents spoke to them but I slept through it.

No, thankfully and crossing my fingers. It would be awful I imagine. When my mom was little her house caught fire and they lost all the pictures. She hardly has any photos of her childhood, I always thought that was so sad.

No thank heavens! Some people in our hometown bought a house last year and remodeled every room. They had one room to go and it burnt down last week. How devastating! However, they did their own electrical and that's what caused the fire. Sometimes it's worth it to hire help!!!!!

well I had a plastic lid catch on fire in our oven, but it probably doesn't count
