Smelly Washer {giveaway!}

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED
A WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON THIS POST SHORTLY

Have you heard this one before....
Eww!!! MOM, these towels stink!!!

I have, and it has stumped me how my towels got that smell. I am careful not to let wet towels sit too long before throwing those towels in the washer. Also, I try to remember to get the towels out of the washer as quickly as I can, to get them drying. Yet...the problem seems to persist.

If you have ever experienced that stinky smell, then it is time for you to get to know
Smelly Washer!!

Smelly Washer Inc. was the first seller of washing machine odor remover. Smelly Washer is the only all natural washer cleaner available and the only clothes washer cleaner that also guarantees to remove mildew odor from towels and clothing after it cleans the washer.

Another plus is that one bottle of Smelly Washer is worth 24 applications, compared to 1-3 for their competitor. That is enough for up to one year of a mold and odor free washer, towels, and clothing.

MY REVIEWOne would think that your washing machine would be clean...after all that is it's job. Cleaning.
Not so I have found out. The detergents and fabric softeners which we use each and every cycle are the culprits for making our washing machines stinky.

Thank you to Smelly Washer for sending me a bottle of their product to try out for myself. When my bottle arrived I rushed downstairs to my washer to give it a try.

That first night I followed the instructions on the bottle and ran an empty cycle on hot with the Smelly Washer. I was so impressed and excited by the results. It was almost unbelievable that it was that simple and with only one application I was able to rid my washer of THAT SMELL.

Even though the product worked wonderfully on the first try, not everyone has the same luck. What I especially love about Smelly Washer is its amazing website. This is one of the most user-friendly sites I have ever visited. You can learn so much from visiting and there are answers at your finger tips.

The most surprising thing I learned on the site was that the cause of my SMELLY WASHING MACHINE was the use of cold water cycles, too much laundry detergent and fabric softener. Since I am line drying everything I am not about to give up using fabric softener, and I had switched to cold water only, as a way to save energy. Now I know, I need to run a hot cycle every once in a while as a way to keep the washer clean and cutting back the amount of detergent is do-able. After all, that can only save me money in the long run.

The best part is this is an all natural product, oh and the price!!

If your washing machine could smile and say thank you, it would. Your machine would say thank you for getting me a WASHING MACHINE CLEANER!!

BUY ITGet your own supply of Smelly Washer by visiting the website for $16.99! Don't forget this is a one year supply. What a great value and deal!!

But wait, it gets better, use promotional code countrycitymouse to receive 10% off!!

GIFT ITSmelly Washer is a perfect stocking stuffer. Slip it in the stocking of Grandma, Mom, Mother-in-Law, and Sister or if Grandpa, Dad, Father-in-Law or Brother is the person in charge of the laundry...you get the picture. This is the PERFECT gift for anyone. Though it may not be the conventional stocking stuffer, it will be a very welcome gift.

Don't forget to use that promotional code to save even more! (countrycitymouse)

You sooo have my attention. It doesn't happen often, but I've battled the smelly washer a time or two, in my house!

Reading the site, I learned...
2 Cups of vinegar added to an empty dishwasher would clean my dishwasher. I could use that!

I learned that Just as it does in a dryer, lint builds up in a washer as laundry tumbles.

Front-loader washing machines are the ones that cause an odor.

I learned that because liquid fabric softener is dispensed during the Rinse cycle, the thick residue isn't completely washed away and it is can easily produce odor-growing mold that gets into your clothes. Ew.

I love that name! We have had our front loading washing machine for a year now and I am starting to notice it probably needs some sort of product to freshen it up!
I learned that liquid fabric softener is not recommended and can contribute to mold growth - now I have to decide if I throw out my two bottles of it or use it to avoid waste!
