Aloha!

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question this week:

What has been your biggest expense this fall? Anything major?

yesterday I had repairs on my vehicle to the tune of $833.

also,

we had a new furnace installed.

both needed to be done before the snow starts to fly, they were put off as long as we could

it actually feels good to know that they are done!

Nothing major for us. I just bought a dress for whatever I am doing with my hubby on my birthday - and that was a little more than I would normally spend. ;-)

Gosh, believe it or not my biggest expense this fall has been on my kids for school. We had to sell calanders that were outrageous. Even though we sold a lot, I still had to buy the last 3 at $30 a pop. Then a class ring for my daughter $200+ then 2 yearbooks $130 total and oh yeah, college tuition monthly pmts.

Just found out yesterday, when the shop called, that my engine in my vehicle is a goner. They said they found a new one and that my expensive of getting my car repaired is only going to be $3,000. ONLY. Haha. I am just trusting God that He is going to rain down some money, cause I only have 40 bucks to my name and no way to get anywhere. Just my luck!

We're in the process of buying out the other owners of our well. Don't want to jinx it so won't say how much but it is above a couple of grand.

My son and I both celebrate birthdays in October, that can be quite costly enough. Top it off with everything else, yikes!

One day my husband looked up and our ceiling was brown and bubbling! we had a LEAK! so we called a plumber who cut open our ceiling and found the leak to be from our upstairs toilet...after that expense we were left with a hole that needed to be drywalled and now our whole ceiling needs to be repainted!
$400!

Nothing major...knock on wood. Our largest expense was our vacation we took earlier this month.......and yet that was spending it on FUN things so not sure if it counts.
