Review *Hot on the Range*

As a young girl I was an avid reader. I also, was a horse fanatic, what little girl isn't? The horse is such a magestic creature, and when you look into the eyes of a horse...you realize the connection that people and horses truly have.

When I had the opportunity to review Hot on the Range by R.D. Jentsch, I jumped at the chance. Not just because of my love for (childrens) books, and my love for horses, but also for the chance to introduce my children to a story which we had not previously read.

Hot on the Range is the story of a horse named Chester. Chester is a barnyard horse who is hot in the Texas sun. Chester is looking to find a way to cool off, who tries everything but the obvious. Chester follows an old cow into the the farmers yard after seeing the line at the trough is too long. Chester finds his relief in a surprise ending. You will have to read this award winning book to find out the ending for yourself.

I loved this book. The well written story sparks your imagination and the story comes to life in your mind. Be sure to follow along by viewing the beautiful illustrations by David C Bryant.

If you have children that you love to read to. Or, if you are a horse lover than this is the book for you.

I plan to tuck my copy of Hot on the Range into the backpack of my son this fall, for his teacher to share with the class.

You are even able to purchase your a variety of merchandise (shirts, travel mugs, and tote bags) with your beloved Hot on the Range characters.

Be sure to look to buy your own copy at Amazon!
Hot on the Range will become a favourite on your bookshelf, as it is ours.
This mom and her kids give Hot on the Range two thumbs up.

Be on the look out for the new book by R.D. Jentsch which is due out August 29, 2009.

As well, R.D. Jentsch is compiling a book of all the cute sayings that kids say. If you would like to share one of your gems (and we all have them) be sure to contact R.D. Jentsch.

Thank you to R.D. Jentsch for sending me a copy of Hot on the Range.
The opinions I have expressed are my own,, please use your own judgement when making a purchase.
