Summer Reading *GIVEAWAY*

C L O S E D

It is time to find a good read for the summer!

Isn't one of the best things a warm day, a shady spot, a cool breeze, and a good book to read?

I'm heading to the cottage next week, where there is no internet, and no tv. My plan is to take a good book (if I get to read it may be another story). But I do like to daydream.

I am happy to offer five (5) lucky Country Mouse, City Mouse readers a chance to win a copy of SOUL SURVIVOR through the Hachette Book Group.

A little bit about Soul Survivor:

This is the story of James Leininger, who-- a little more than two weeks after his second birthday-- began having blood-curdling nightmares that just would not stop. When James began screaming out recurring phrases like, "Plane on fire! Little man can't get out!" the Leiningers finally admitted that they truly had to take notice.

When details of planes and war tragedies no two-year-old boy could know continued-- even in stark daylight-- Bruce and Andrea Leininger began to realize that this was an incredible situation. SOUL SURVIVOR is the story of how the Leiningers pieced together what their son was communicating and eventually discovered that he was reliving the past life of World War II fighter pilot James Huston. As Bruce Leininger struggled to understand what was happening to his son, he also uncovered details of James Huston's life-- and death-- as a pilot that will fascinate military buffs everywhere.

In SOUL SURVIVOR, readers are taken for a gripping ride as the Leiningers' belief system is shaken to the core, and both of these families come to know a little boy who, against all odds and even in the face of true skeptics, harbors the soul of this man who died long ago.

Sounds good, doesn't it?

THE GIVEAWAY

Thank you to Hachette Book Group for offering five (5) copies of SOUL SURVIVOR to Country Mouse, City Mouse readers.

How did you get involved with this group to get books for giveaways?

I don't know if I have one all time favorite book, but my favorite authors include James Patterson (the Alex Cross books and the Murder Club books - not so much his other ones), Nicholas Sparks, and that's just to name a couple, but I'm always finding more and more authors that I like.

Well that does sound like an interesting book!! I hope I win one of those!
My all time favorite book is Embraced by the Light by Betty J Eadie. Its the story of a woman who died and had a near death experience like no other I've ever read about. Reading her book gave me hope when I was upset about losign my 3rd baby and not being able to have more. I think it saved my sanity! Plus its a really good read!
Currently am reading a fantastic fiction book called The Time Travelers Wife! It you can get ahold of it to take with you, do so cause its so interesting! AND its being made into a movie, right now!

Wow, this book sounds wonderful. I love to read, so does my husband, and since I had my baby I haven't had any time to pick a good book at Chapters. This sounds like the perfect thing to get me back into reading. As for picking a favorite, that is a toughie. I love children's books, I am a teacher, so things like twilight, where the wild things are, harry potter are all awesome, but for good quick reads with a bit of smut I like to read the stephanie plum series.

Only *one* favorite?!? I don't know if I can pick just one...there are so many, each striking a chord with the various chapters of my life.

OK, closing my eyes and playing the eenie meenie minie moe game...alright, my finger just landed on Nightmares & Dreamscapes by Stephen King. (I *still* remember the story "The Moving Finger" vividly even after ten+ years...I didn't use the bathroom with the door closed for an entire week after reading it--in case I needed to make a hasty escape.)

Thanks for hosting this giveaway. :D
