Summer Days

Are you enjoying the dog days of summer?

Do, because they slip away so quickly!

First, I must apologize to all my bloggy friends. I am finding the time to visit you very limited. I really did suspect this would be the case, and so far it has proved true.

When the kids are in school I would spend time blogging in the morning until about 10 AM, and then again in the afternoon around 2 PM. Matthew would be at school and Jillian would be asleep, I would watch my soaps and read blogs. Jillian still naps, but I have two other people that I must pay attention to.

As a result my time is limited. If I don't get over to visit for a few days at a time, know I haven't forgotten about you! I am thinking of you!

Thank you to all who make time to drop in and leave comments. I know time is precious.

This week Matthew is heading up to his grandparents farm. He loves it up at the farm, and it gives him a vacation. Emily is wrapping up her second week of swimming lessons. I spoke to her instructor at the end of her last lesson (Friday) and he mentioned to me that she should be looking toward getting her lifeguard certificate! He also thought she was 13 years old...what does that tell you? (She is 11) Toward the end of the week we will be packing Emily up for her week at summer camp. (I can not believe her week has finally come...we have been waiting for her chance to go again, since last year!)

Yesterday, I spent quite a bit of time outdoors working on our yard. It is amazing, we have such a small yard, yet there seems to be quite a bit of upkeep. Why do the weeds grow so well? I trimmed by some bushes, and Tom trimmed back a tree. We have yard waste pick up on Mondays, so Sunday is a great day to get that kind of thing done.

Hope everyone is well, what have you been up to?

Oh...I guess if I got over to your blogs I would know!!

I actually think it's pretty great that you're putting your kids before blogging. I miss you but you've got your priorities in the right place.

Oh the dog days of summer are def. here. It's been near 100 degrees every day for about 2 weeks, YUCK! This means we've put off yard work like the plague. But, we buckled down and got it down yesterday. If I have to pull up anymore crab grass, I may scream.

Summer is hard for me too. All 4 kids I nanny for are home from school and expect me to be their constant entertainer. Drives me nuts.

Oh Pam, just enjoy your kids. Like summer, they are gone so fast. It seems like just yesterday that I was where you are and now mine are 33 and 36. Catch up with us in the fall. In the meantime, I'll keep checking in on you and yours.

I've been feeling guilty as well for not having time to blog or read any blogs. The days are going by so darn fast, school begins Aug. 10th, so I will continue to enjoy the kids and do what I can.

Hi Pam!

Hope your family had a wonderful 4th of July!

I am also wayyyyyyy behind on getting around and visiting my bloggy friends. By the days end I am so tired from chasing the kids around I just end up crashing.

Your blog looks great and I love the reviews!

Oh Pam - you have a good reason not to blog so much! Enjoy your summer days! Sounds like you're all having a wonderful time!

Sounds like you're having a very busy summer! Hope the kids have fun at their respective "holidays" away from home!

I totally understand about not being tied to the computer and blog hopping... it's so much harder in the summer because you're squeezing it in as opposed to it having a regular time slot ;-) Enjoy your time away from your computer!
