Aloha!

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

This week's question:

Everyone is talking about 'stay-cations' this summer, are you planning on going away (from home) or just sticking close to home?

We never seem to be able to go anywhere so I'll just be at home. Although I am going to go visit my daughter for a few.

We're going to BC. Can't wait!

We're definitely staycationing this year. Not because we really want to, but we have a 5 month old who is a strict creature of habit. Not her bed? She won't sleep. Not her bathtub? Get her out. lol So I'd rather wait until next year. My AF

We usually take our vacations in the fall or winter because of work.

hubby and I are doing an overnight about an hour away, and then we will take the boys down to see his parents for a weekend in Aug. We are doing a family vacation in the fall, but still only going about an hour away

We'll probably do something simple like day trip to NYC.

We've already been away once. We don't have additional away plans, but if something came up, yes we'd go.

We stay home. My husband teaches in the summer and my boys have conditioning, so we have not gone on a vacation in years.

I think we are going away but if people don't stop showing up at our house summer will be over before we get a chance to go anywhere - lol

We'll probably get away in August - hopefully to the ocean (one of my most favorite places!!)

What about you?

Both, we have a lot of fun staying at home and hanging out. I would like to build a firepit in our backyard so we can make smores. :)

We are going to my hometown, but I still feel like its a stay cation cause it's only 2 hours from here...and in WY that is nothin! :)

We went away on our first family vacation since having kids (6 years) in May. For the rest of the summer we will use our Six Flags season passes, visit relatives and hang near home.

Oh that I COULD stay home this summer. This is what we have planned for the summer:

A trip to Boston and Cape Cod with our oldest daughter, her housemate and housemates son.

(Pam) a trip to Las Vegas to help Gretchen (our other daughter) with Arts Camp.

A trip to Lake George with Jim's brother and his friend, Cathy.

A trip to the Adirondacks with our friends Bruce and Shelly.

I think that might leave three or four weeks at home during which myi niece will visit for a week and my SIL will come while Jim goes to stay with his brother and visit his mom.

It's all fun stuff, but I will need a long rest in September.
