A Brisk Stroll

A couple of weeks ago, Matthew and I were taking a brisk walk on this river walk-way, making our way toward an arena where Emily was having a dance competition with her classmates. We were late, and had to park so far from the arena, that we had the opportunity to take this little stroll along the river.

This is a very big tourist attraction. There is a world famous Shakespeare festival that takes place here. Many people come in the summer time to take in the shows, and a lot of people walk these walk ways. And, even though we were late to the performance, we took a couple of minutes to snap a few pictures.

It really was a lovely spring evening, it was so peaceful.

I think the pictures reflect the peaceful feel of the night!

Though, it was freaking Matthew out when these new friends decided to follow us down the path!

Oh how beautiful! Living in a big city we don't have beautiful places like this to take a walk - unless of course we go out into the country, which isn't far, but one has to save those outings for the week-ends! Oh, by the way, yes, our trees do change colour and lose their leaves, but there are lot that don't! Because we don't have snow here at all, it's much warmer - today is really chilly for us and it's 19 degrees celcius. We really are very spoilt! As I type this, the sky is turning grey and it looks quite miserable outside, although it was a beautiful, sun shiny day! It's 15h45 now. Sun will go down around 6pm!

It does look so peaceful! I just took some pictures by a pond last weekend with Carson and there were ducks and geese. He also got freaked out at first but then he wanted to pet them haha.
