A Spring Evening Down By The River

Last night Matthew's Beaver Group held their year end bbq at the park down by the river.

The whole afternoon it threatened to rain, but thankfully it held off, and we got the year end wrap up in before the rain came.

As you can see there is a rather large population of Canadian Geese, and when there is geese, there is goose poop. Kids running around in goose poop...you get the idea!!

These are the babies, who really aren't so little anymore. They were so cute following along behind their mother.

We are so spoiled to have this park. It is so quiet and peaceful down there. And, if you are really lucky the train will come into the station when you are in the park.

.................... to be continued!!

Geese are awful!!! Flying pooping hissing rats!!!

Please copy and paste your comment (who is showing their love) HTML onto an email for me. I am having no luck using this widget. I thought I added it a couple times, but it does not work :-(

I will try again with the site listed below that widget.

Those are really great pictures!! We live right beside a creek with geese, but they don't come on the yard. Guess they don't like the dog.
Glad the rain held off for your bbq. We had 2 inches of rain on Monday, but it's supposed to be sunny the rest of the week!! WOOHOO!

The park looks so lush and green. Just beautiful to see the trees all greening up and ready for summer. I have a feeling you will be spending lots of time here as the weather warms up. I love you Pam and hope your day is great.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Love your photos! I was able to capture a few Geese photos last week at my son's baseball game. I took a close-up of Mama goose and her babies before she started hissing at me..lol

What a GREAT place for a BBQ. We have a local park that has geese. They are mean little buggers. At least they can be. Just yesterday one of them hissed at my while I was taking my noon walk.

It looks like a lovely place...as long as you avoid the geese, I suppose. :)

What a pretty park you live near! Glad the rain held off.

Talk about Goose poop - the parks near us all along Lake Ontario are covered in goose poop. It really grosses up the parks and makes ya not want to hang out down there for a picnic or anything - who wants all that poop on the blanket afterwards? BLECH!

Can't wait to read the continued story ;-)
