Aloha Friday!

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question this week:

What is your favourite fruit?

And,

How do you enjoy it the most ( recipe or out of hand)?

Oh wow! WATERMELON! Juicy and sweet! Especially cut up into small blocks and tossed in bowl with feta cheese and balsamic vinegar! YUM!! Makes a nice side dish at a BBQ!

Oh, and yes, there is nothing like munching on strawberries as you are strawberry picking (although they frown on that, but who cares)

Mango - so sweet and delicious. I don't get it that often b/c you have to eat it at the right stage. I like it as is or in salsas.

Durian - something that doesn't go well with caucassians and eaten out of hand.

In the summer, it's the melons and nectarines. I can't pick just one. In the non summer months, it's grapes if Costco has them or bananas. I just eat them all plain, no recipes.

I love any fruit besides melons. Love making smoothies with 1 banana(frozen), handfull of strawberries, blueberries, and mixed berries, about half cup fat free plain yogurt, splash of apple or orange juice. Blend. Yummy!!

I can't pick just one or just 5 or even 10. I just love fruit so much. But I do love sharing some juicy watermelons with the grandkids. We get so messy and it's so much fun. I love you girl and I love all fruit too.:) Have a great weekend.

Probably figs, right off the tree!

By itself I would have to say cantaloupe. Now in a smoothie anything goes!
Ready?
1 Banana
1 cup of crushed ice
1 cup of orange juice
add anything else you want!
I've added frozen mixed fruits and it's always yummy! Cherries, Raspberries, Blueberries, Peaches, Strawberries, Cantaloupe, Mango, Pineapple. Oh the possibilities!

Great question Pam! I would have to say Mango! My favorite way to eat it is cut off chunks and eat it while standing over the sink, because it can be very juicy and can be messy! Second way, mango ice cream.
