Here and There...This and That

This is my favourite bush in the spring time. It's gorgeous yellow leaves just appeared this weekend when it was so warm. Sadly, this burst of colour doesn't last very long, and the leaves turn to green. So, I must enjoy it while I can.

**********

What do you call this fruit at your house?

Jillian is calling this a Yellow!! It took me a minute to figure out what she was asking for, but now we have it straight. Of course this is a yellow.

Every two weeks throughout the winter we have a fruit vendor who sells (very) fresh fruit out of his truck at the diner across the street from our house. Sadly, last week was the last week for citrus fruit. However, he gave us a flyer advertising that he would be back in July selling Georgia peaches. To say we are excited is an understatement. Comparing his produce to the local grocery store is like comparing apples to oranges (err.. yellows).

**********

I would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who voted for our entry in the photo contest last week. I had no idea that I had such a competitive streak. We won!! I can't wait to show you the prize that you guys helped me win.

**********

Thank you for visiting me today. I became really aware of how much my friends in the computer actually mean to me. I thank you for taking the time to visit me and leave comments. I thank you for letting me go back over to your blog and read and share about your lives. Strange, isn't it? People you have never met face to face are some of the best friends that you will ever make!

Have a great day!!

Beautiful bush! I love these too. I love the way God created some things to be enjoyed for the moment, keeping our eyes on Him. He never disappoints does He? I consider you to be one of my very closest computer friends Pam, I truly do. And I don't have to meet you face to face to know that I love you heart to heart. It's a God thing:) May your joy be full this week as you eat those "yellows" and wait for the Georgia Peaches!!

Love and Hugs, Laurie

I love how kids assign 'kid friendly' names to the things they love. Like 'yellows'. Speaking of yellows...there is nothing better than truly fresh produce!

P.S. Congrats on the win!

Your Springtime bush is pretty. I have only seen a few bits of Spring popping up around here. This rain we're getting today should help boost Spring a little faster ~ April showers and all ;-)

I love that the bushes in my yard are coming alive, too.

I use this recipe, http://www.5dollardinners.com/2009/03/crockpot-chicken-fajitas.html, for crockpot chicken fajitas. They are delicious!
