Melting Moments

We were looking through some old pictures, and came across these of our baby.

Hard to believe this is almost 2 1/2 years ago! She was so little to me. Jillian was our smallest baby weighing in at 5Lbs 11Ozs. When she came home she was 5Lbs 4Ozs.

She was such a little squirt.

She was such a little rosebud.

She melted our hearts the day we met her...and continues to every day!

She is still a little cuddler, but she is becoming more independent every day.

I love watching her grow and learn. She is working so hard to get caught up with her speech.

When it comes to potty training she is not working so hard! But that is okay, it will come.

What are the moments in your life that melted your heart and since,
you have never been the same?

Oh my! That just melted my heart. She was so teeny tiny. Big Brother was tiny like that 6 lbs at birth, but he was already 12lbs when he came home to us. Although, at the time he still seemed little and he is. He is my peanut. Baby Sister is going to be bigger I think.

Well, definitely the first time I saw my daughter and the immediate love I felt. I knew I was doomed for a life of immense love. I'll take it. Great pictures. She was SO small. ;-)

Oh Pam,

She still is a little rosebud and look at her blooming.:) I am so proud of her for working hard on her speech, it will come full circle soon:) I have to say my grandkids melt my heart every day. They are just so full of life. I love you girl. Spring is almost here. Hooray for us!!!!

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Pure sweetness! Makes me want to snuggle with someone's baby, lol -- I love when they are so tiny and small that they just melt to you when you hold them... ooooh babies!

They grow so fast! I can't help but look at my boys..who are now 2 and 3..but all I see is the babies they used to be. With their chubby cheeks and sausage like hands! Oh, I miss those days!

I have to agree with you - the birth of my children are my melting moments. There's nothing like meeting your child and locking eyes for the first time.

The moments that melted my heart are: April 29, 1999 when my son was born (by the way--she was 5 lbs. and 14 oz. kind of similar), September 9, 2002 when my first daughter was born, and October 20, 2005 when my second daughter was born. They melted my heart then and they still do now!!

Aww what a sweet tiny baby!
well I dont know, moments that melt my heart, I never thought of that. I suppose its when my kids were born. Now its when my kids do or say something un-expected but kind.

When my husband proposed, when my daughters were born, and when I receive a random act of kindness that is totally not expected. The unexpected is overwhelming because it just knocks me off my feet as well.

What an angel. You came across some precious, precious photos. She was so tiny!
Looks like she's saying, "Hey!" in that last photo. Like, "Hey, I didn't give you permission to photograph me!" :)

Lovely photos! Isn't it a shock when you revisit those first ones and then see how much they've grown! It goes by so so fast!

Bless her little heart! What a sweetie!
Thanks for your comments on my post! I must say we heard about that incident, but generally we hear really good things about Canada - in fact a lot of South Africans are now making it there home, along with Australia!

The moments that melt my heart are similar to the ones you just showed. They usually revolve around our children and either make me laugh with joy or bring a tear to my eye as I "remember when".

What a tiny baby your sweetie was.

Wow...what a tiny pretty little nugget. And she is still the most adorable thing now! Boy they do grow so fast.

So precious! My daughter is also two years old and she weighed 5 lbs. 10 oz at birth and was also 5 lbs. 4 oz whenever we brought her home from the hospital.

I never imagine that these two years would have gone by so fast! Lately I've been looking at a lot of her old baby photos and it's hard to imagine that she was so small :-)

I'm sure that you feel the same way about your children!
