Just Because

Because it is March break and it is much harder to ignore three children rather that two...

Because the weather is gorgeous and my kids are running around outside and I should be watching them...

Because they are continuously tracking mud in the house since they can't seem to remember to leave their shoes/boots at the door, and I have to sweep up mud off the floor all day long...

Because I can fill my clothes line with my laundry to dry outdoors...

And because Jillian and I have both have the crude....

I am going to re-post a little gem from the not so distant past but when I only had a few friends who dropped in to say hello.

GRANDPA'S TRACTOR

Many people have commented on my tractor pictures.

I love this tractor. It belonged to my Grandpa, who to say I loved would be an understatement. I loved both my Grandpa and Grandma so much, and think of them often and know that some day I will be with them again, which gives me such peace.

Grandpa taught me to drive this tractor when I was roughly 10 years old, (the age of my oldest daughter). I can remember driving around his farm yard sitting with him beside me being taught to drive. If I could go back to that day just for a moment I would.

Hey Gramp, thanks for smiling down on us, your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on this gorgeous fall day, as new memories of the tractor were made. I know you were smiling.

How very sweet!! My grandpa played piano and every time I see his piano at my dad's house I think about my grandpa (Pop Pop). I am really hoping that one of my kids played piano just so I can have the piano. :) I suppose I could take lessons too.

Seriously, these photos are amazing and just beautiful! I hope you have them framed somewhere and prominently displayed -- they are gorgeous. Your story is so touching, and I love the legacy that you've been able to share with your children.

And I hope the week gets a little less muddy and hectic!

Aw, great pictures. We have several Allis tractors around here, too. But none as neat as your Grandpa's tractor!
