Aloha Friday

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today's question:

Today being the first day of spring, has spring sprung in your neck of the woods?

When you step out your door do you hear neighbourhood kids playing?

Do you feel your spirits are lifted when you feel some warmth and sunshine?

Happy first day of spring everyone!!

Spring is madly galloping away down here! I'm actually afraid to see what's under the pool cover since I should have opened it @ the beginning of March & not the end.

No neighborhood kids to hear playing since we live in the boondocks!

I love that it's getting warmer; it's in the mid 80's for the next week. Lovely.

It's going to start getting warmer and yes, the kids are starting to come out to play even if they have to wear jackets! Lots of neighbors out for walks as well!

Things have been 'spring like' here for a few weeks, but there is still some dullness lingering from Winter.

I do hear children playing...but its usually my children, lol.

I really do feel a happiness when spring finally hits full force. I think the winter blues lift & everyone is optimistic again.

Happy Spring Pam,

Here in Ca. the weather is unpredictable but I have birds chirping in the trees and in the bird feeders. I have a few butterflies starting to fly by and my jasmine is going crazy. I have two orchids that have bloomed and I can bundle up the grandkids and play outside again. My hibernation instincts are lifting too so yes, I think Spring is arriving. I love you girl and am praying for you too.

Love and Hugs, Laurie

Ha! It's autumn here - and boy is the weather playing along! It's cold, rainy and positively miserable. I am looking forward to a week-end indoors with lots of hot chocolate and a good book!
Happy Spring to all you Northern Hemisphere folk!

We don't have Spring here but it sounds like a well loved season by many. It's summer here and today is the start of my son's summer break. I always hear the kids playing in the street and having fun.

Spring was here last weekend and seems to be gone again. It will come back eventually. Thanks to the cold and rain, no kids outside right now. Yes, the sun and warmth definitely lifts my spirits.

Spring has definitely sprung! It's been gorgeous the past few days.

But, living in Utah, I don't get too comfortable, because we generally tend to still get snow into April.

While I can see a couple of winter flowers trying to push their green shoots through the ground, spring is definitely NOT hear yet.

No kids playing now, as it's too cold. Spring break started this afternoon though!

And yes, I love the sunshine. I'm almost ready to move so I can get further into the sunshine!
