ALOHA FRIDAY

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today's Question:

Are you (or your children) getting geared up to play on any sports teams this spring? (i.e. baseball/soccer)

OH YES! We just finished up three weeks of spring football training. Baseball starts in another week, which will then overlap into football, which then overlaps into basketball. I never get a break! lol

DS is in baseball right now. Before that it was wrestling! Then because it's too hot down here in the summer most things are on hold until fall when we start back w/ soccer & I think cheerleading again. Go cheerleading scholarship!

No, my sons are grown and my grandchildren are too young. I remember the fun days when my children played sports and I was watching and cheering for them!

I think I'll just stare at your lovely picture of the beach for a while and dream of ocean waves and sandy beaches.

You were saying something about sports?

I'm thinking about doing some sort of soccer for 3 year olds. My step-daughter will probably go to horse-back riding camp again this summer too.

Nope, Em is into gymnastics and Er takes art classes. We used to play soccer but she doesn't like playing anymore!!

My two boys are still on the young side. I am hoping to sign up my big kid for swim lessons since I may be too late for T ball. Then I need to find a class to do with the little guy.

No, thank goodness. The hours, days, weeks, months, years, and lifetime of sports is over. . . . I sure miss the time with the kids. :(

No we will probably not be doing sports this year. We tried it 2 years ago and even though my kids are good at soccer and did enjoy it, the games and practices cut into their precious time. My son wants to be fishing all the time and my daughter loves to be out rollerblading and playing with the neighbor kids.

I had a hard time myself with all the time that was involved with them playing in the leagues. I never had the opportunity as a kid to play and neither did my Hubby, but we wanted to let the kids decide. We are both happy to let them refrain from joining this year.

I am ready to go fishing with my son, and I know that Hubby will be happy hanging around the house listening out for our daughters laughter with the neighbors.
