Ride Sally, Ride

Last week the snow had melted, and the sidewalks became clear. Matthew has been dying to have his bike out of the shed, and this is the first chance he has had since last November. We took full advantage of it, (and so did the neighbourhood kids) and we are glad we did because the snow is back - with a nastey wintery blast.

It was all fun and games until he took his first tumble of the season. And, as you can see it was right beside a mud puddle. Being a boy, though, he got right up and went back on!! Girls are not always so tough.

Matthew can not wait for the official start of the spring biking season, as he has been promised a new bike. He has really outgrown this one!! Bike shopping is a true sign of spring in Ontario. Bikes are just beginning to appear in the stores. We will take him to look at bikes and let him ride around the bike area in the store. There is nothing quite as thrilling for a young boy as getting to ride a bike in a store!!

I am hoping spring comes soon for you guys up there. You could use some sunny weather, right? How exciting for Matthew to be getting some "new wheels" too. Bikes are pure freedom and great adventure!! Love you Pam. Praying for spring:)

My daughter really wants a bike. I think we are going to try to wait until Christmas though. I love that he is out there in the cold, bundled up and biking away!

He is so cute. I bet he can hardly wait. I know I can hardly wait until it is warm to ride my bike or anything like it.

Hello Pam

Kids get so frustrated indoors during winter time which you can see with your little boy...all he wanted was to get out - can you imagine him during summer time...what fun awaits him.

We're all suffering from a little "cabin fever" here...even the dog.

I once fell on a hill on my bike and totally scraped up my entire knee. And I still have a scar on my leg from a mountain biking accident.

But I was a crying, whiny girl!!

I am so ready for warm weather. I hate this 'in between' stuff because the kids wanna play outside all day and I'm freezing!

We live in S. Texas so we really haven't had a winter. But, Jake and J. got new bikes this past month and OMG is it a display or masculinity or what?! Such a fun thing!

There is nothing quite like riding bikes around the neighborhood with your friends when you're young! Love the pictures! And here's to hoping that spring will come soon!
