Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:

When you are sick, what do you find helps to settle your stomach?

This is a question that is on my mind today, since I have the stomach flu today. I have been sipping gingerale and cola. But maybe you have a better suggestion. Please share!!

I agree about the gingerale and sometimes Saltines helps too. Not just old wives tales.

Crackers, dry toast, chicken noodle soup, and jello. I hope you get to feeling better soon! Nothing is worse in my book than the stomach bug~!

cola and saltines always make me feel better. I also put a hot water bottle on my stomache and it seems to take the nausea away.

Feel better soon!

Yep, saltines, gingerale or 7up, my fuzzy blanket and the couch. I hope you will be feeling better really soon. Hope the kids don't get it too.

Ginger ale and soda crackers help me. :)

Yeah, ginger ale is good - also crackers. Guess it's pretty much unanimous!

Hot tea and toast with cinnamon sugar.

7-up (with the carbonation stirred out of it), and saltine crackers.

I also drink Gingerale when I am sick.

sprite with sonic ice :)

Hope you start feeling better soon!

Hope you feel better! I don't know if you have them, but Zaxby's has the best crushed ice if there isn't a Sonic (which has good ice too). I think it's probably best to stick with clear fluids including hot tea with lemon and honey and saltines (not the gross kind without salt!)

for me its something sweet. I know its weird but when I am sick to my stomach if I eat a cookie or chocolate or have a soda, I feel better.

I like scrambled eggs & hot tea. Not always together but when I have an upset stomach that's what I eat!

Being from Hawaii...I love the idea :)

As for an answer. I work for a restaurant and it's typical hangover/tummyache solution was Bitters & soda water (yuck, I substitute 7up and a squeeze of lime). I can't believe it works but it does 80% of the time :)

I put the link below.
