One Word Project

Have you heard of Ali Edward's one word project?

Her project is for you to chose one word to be your focus for 2009. I love this idea, I am not one for resolutions, maybe I could set a goal and strive to achieve it, but not likely.

But choosing a word to be your focus seems like a great idea.

So, I had many words pop into my head and I think I have decided on peace to be my word.

Peace with my health, to accept what I am given, to be peaceful with the cards I am dealt.

Peace with my home, I know that I may never have the dream home I desire. Be peaceful with what I have, and remember that a home is the people in it and not the four walls around it or belongings.

Peace with our finances, live within our means, and not to desire things we can not afford. To be peaceful and thankful for what we are given.

Have a peaceful heart when it comes to my children. Give them direction, and discipline but remember that they are just children and they will behave as such. Be at peace with who they are and who they are becoming.

Have peace and calm in the every day things.

I hope to find peace in my heart, by loving God and my family, and living the life I have been given to the best of my ability each day.

No, I had not heard of this, but what a great idea! I think you picked the perfect word, too! Sounds like we have so much in common!

I haven't heard of this either, but I think that the word you have chosen seems to be a good one. Not only for you, but for a lot of people. Happy 2009!!

Great word. I'm still trying to find mine for 2009. Lots of wonderful words out there.
